This Privacy Policy explains how JK Vegies ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use our website at https://jkvegies.shop to order vegetables and fruits for home delivery or shop pickup.

We are a vegetable and fruit retail and wholesale business operating in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, India, and the surrounding towns. By using this website you agree to this policy.

2. What information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

  • Account details: your email address, your name, your phone number, and a business name if you order as a wholesale customer.
  • Delivery addresses: the receiver's name, the receiver's phone number, the written address, the town, and an optional map location (latitude and longitude) that you place yourself by dragging a pin.
  • Order information: the items and quantities you order, the delivery time you choose, any note you add for the delivery rider, and your order history with us.
  • Reviews: any rating or comment you choose to leave on a completed order.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Sign-in records: the date and time of your sign-in, handled by our authentication provider.
  • Device information for alerts: if, and only if, you choose to turn on order alerts, we store a push notification address issued by your browser and a short description of your browser and device. You can turn this off at any time from the bell icon or from your browser settings.
  • Your location, only when you ask for it: if you press "Use my current location" while adding an address, your browser asks your permission and gives us your coordinates so the map pin can be placed. We never read your location in the background, and we never track your location after the address is saved.
  • Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.

2.3 What we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN, net banking passwords or any other payment credentials. Orders are paid as cash on delivery.
  • We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN or any government identification number.
  • We do not collect your contacts, photos, files, calendar or messages.
  • We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
  • We do not use your information for advertising or for ad targeting.

3. Why we use your information

  • To take and deliver your order. Your address and phone number are shown to the delivery rider assigned to your order so that they can reach you.
  • To confirm delivery. We generate one-time codes that are exchanged at pickup and at delivery so that an order is handed to the right person.
  • To keep you informed. We send order confirmations and status updates by email, and push alerts if you turned them on.
  • To let you sign in. Your email address identifies your account.
  • To run and improve the shop. We look at order totals and popular items to decide what to stock.
  • To meet legal and tax requirements and to resolve disputes.

We rely on your consent for push alerts and for reading your location, on the performance of our contract with you for taking and delivering orders, and on our legitimate interests for keeping the service secure and working.

4. If you sign in with Google

You may sign in using your Google account. When you do, Google tells us only your email address, your name and your profile picture, after you approve it on Google's own screen. We use this to create or identify your JK Vegies account and nothing else.

We never receive your Google password. We do not read your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, Photos or any other Google service, and we do not ask for permission to do so. We do not share any information we receive from Google with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

You can disconnect JK Vegies from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Who we share your information with

We share your information only with the service providers that make this website work, and only to the extent each one needs:

  • Supabase — stores our database, files and sign-in records.
  • Cloudflare — serves the website and counts page visits.
  • Brevo — sends order emails and sign-in codes.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Esri and OpenStreetMap — supply the map pictures. Your browser requests map tiles from them directly when you open the map.
  • Our own delivery riders — a rider sees the name, phone number, address and map pin only for an order currently assigned to them, and only while that order is being packed or delivered.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety and property. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

6. How long we keep your information

  • Account and address details: until you ask us to delete them.
  • Order records: for 8 years, as required for business and tax records under Indian law.
  • Push alert addresses: until you turn alerts off, or until your browser invalidates them.

7. How we protect your information

  • All traffic to this website is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Our database enforces row-level security, so one customer's orders and addresses are not readable by another customer.
  • Prices, totals and one-time codes are calculated on our server, not in your browser, so they cannot be altered from the outside.
  • Only the shop owner's account can open the admin panel.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will inform you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your account and personal information, except records we must keep by law;
  • stop sending you alerts or marketing messages.

You can edit your name, phone number and addresses yourself at any time from your account page. For anything else, write to [[email protected]] and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

This website is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to [[email protected]] and we will delete it.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember the items in your cart. These are necessary for the website to work and are not used for advertising or for tracking you across other websites.
